The Green Bay Packers are 9-4 on the season while their Week 15 opponent, the Seattle Seahawks, are 8-5. While the Packers are in third place in their division with virtually no chance of winning the NFC North, the Seahawks lead the NFC West by a single game over the 7-6 Los Angeles Rams.

Due to the Seahawks’ close division race, this game could have seeding implications in the upcoming NFL Playoffs.

If the Packers are to win this game, as well as make a deep playoff push, they need better results from their pass rush. Currently, Green Bay’s defense ranks just 14th in the NFL with 33 sacks, a far cry from what fans were expecting after Jeff Hafley promised a front seven that would create havoc in the backfield.

The Green Bay Packers Signed Former Cleveland Browns Pass Rusher Jeremiah Martin

With their pass rush a concern, it seems as if the Packers are looking for help and depth anywhere that they can find it. Earlier on Tuesday, it was announced that the team had signed former Cleveland Browns pass rusher Jeremiah Martin:

Martin was signed by the Cleveland Browns after going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, he was cut following training camp and did get signed by another team until January 1, 2024.

After signing with the New York Giants, Martin was also given a reserve/future contract. Unfortunately for him, the Giants waived him a few months later.

During training camp this year, Martin was re-signed by the Browns. He did not make the 53-man roster, though, and was released in late August.

Johnson did not have many productive years during his college days at Texas A&M and Washington. However, in his final season at Washington in 2022, he had 8.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss.
