3 forgotten sophomore Titans who could break out in 2025

The 2025 NFL Draft could potentially be a franchise-altering moment for the Tennessee Titans, but that doesn't mean that the 2024 draft class should be forgotten about altogether.

Ran Carthon is no longer with the Titans, but his final draft class appears to be a success. Nearly everyone who follows the draft knows that the general rule that landing three quality starters in any class is often considered a success.

T'Vondre Sweat, JC Latham, and Jarvis Brownlee Jr. are all starters heading into 2025. That's huge, but they aren't the only players from that class with a chance to make an impact this coming campaign. The following talents have all been forgotten about, but shouldn't be counted out just yet.

Cedric Gray, LB

Despite being the first linebacker the Titans drafted last year, people often forget about Gray and remember James Williams due to the former's rookie-season injury. It is certainly true that Williams got more reps and was more visible, but when Gray was ready to play, he showed flashes of being a capable linebacker.

Gray has plenty to learn and needs to do a better job disengaging from blocks and finding the ball, but he looked the part athletically. Gray could compete for the other starting linebacker job opposite Cody Barton if he stays healthy.

Jha'Quan Jackson, WR

Rookie QB Cam Ward is an aggressive off-script thrower, which could open the door for Jackson to carve out a role as a rotational slot receiver. His primary competition is going to be speedy rookie Chimere Dike, the rookie from Florida. The Titans have praised Dike for his versatility, and with his speed, they might consider him as a Z receiver behind Calvin Ridley.

If that is how they view Dike, then Jackson's speed in the slot could separate him from Tyler Lockett and Xavier Restrepo, who are more short to intermediate targets.

David Martin-Robinson, TE

Martin-Robinson had a cult following last year after impressing during training camp and the preseason, but tight ends take longer to develop. With a season under his belt, he could compete for a role in the Titans offense behind Chig Okonkwo.

After missing time in back-to-back seasons, it's a critical upcoming campaign for Josh Whyle. If Whyle continues to struggle with injury, then Martin-Robinson could fill his role nicely while Gunnar Helm develops during his rookie season.
