The San Francisco 49ers are hoping to bounce back strong in 2025 after a rough all-around 2024 NFL season.
After being the best team in the NFC and losing in the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs just two years ago, last season did not go as planned. When all was said and done, the 49ers finished the year with a 6-11 record and of course they missed the playoffs.
While the team did not play well as a whole, injuries played a major factor in the down season. Among the star players who dealt with injuries were Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, and Nick Bosa.
It's hard to win football games in the NFL with so many key injury issues.
Bosa is back and looking healthy for the 2025 season. However, he's also excited about a new teammate that San Francisco brought in to play alongside him.
Former Georgia standout pass rusher Mykel Williams was drafted with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Bosa likes what he has seen from the young defensive end so far.
Recently, he spoke out and sent a bold message about his rookie pass rushing mate.
“A lot of eagerness to learn, more so than I have seen probably from a young guy,” Bosa said. “He just wants to learn as much as he can. And I’m excited to give all the knowledge I can to him. I think he’s got a ton of talent, so the sky’s the limit.”
As for the 27-year-old pass rusher himself, Bosa is ready to put together another big season as well. He played in 14 games last year, racking up 52 tackles, nine sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception, and a defended pass.
