The San Francisco 49ers announced a couple of transactions Thursday morning. Linebacker Jalen Graham was re-signed to the team’s practice squad. The corresponding move was to release Dieter Eiselen from the team’s practice squad.

Eiselen was an undrafted free agent from Yale in the 2020 NFL Draft class. He appeared in five games over two seasons with the Chicago Bears and the Houston Texans.

Jon Feliciano was a limited participant during Wednesday’s practice. The veteran figures to be the swing interior offensive lineman, which jeopardized Eiselen’s roster spot. Feliciano had his practice window opened on Monday, which suggested a move like this was coming.

Offensive line coach Chris Foerster had this to say about Feliciano: “We’re looking at him right now as a backup center/guard. We have a true starter in a backup role. It’s great to have as a backup.”

Dee Winters was a full participant during Wednesday’s session. He’s been banged up multiple times this season and left Week 9 early with a concussion.

Re-signing Graham could be for scout team practice until Dre Greenlaw is 100 percent healthy. The depth has been decent in Greenlaw’s absence. Rookie Tatum Bethune has stepped in when needed. Bethune, Winters, and Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles will continue to fill in on special teams.
