It's been a very busy offseason for Christian McCaffrey.

The San Francisco 49ers running back agreed a contract extension with the team and was recently revealed as the cover star for the Madden NFL 25 video game.

But he confirmed his most important move of the year this weekend, tying the knot as he married Olivia Culpo at a ceremony in his wife's home state of Rhode Island.

McCaffrey's 49ers George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk were in attendance, along with head coach Kyle Shanahan. Shanahan was pictured sporting a new moustache that quickly captured the attention of 49ers fans across social media.

However, there was no upstaging McCaffrey and former Miss Universe Culpo, who made their union official having started dating in 2019.

Culpo has been a regular at 49ers games since San Francisco struck its trade for McCaffrey, who last season won the Offensive Player of the Year award for his remarkable regular-season production.

McCaffrey finished his first full season with 2,023 yards from scrimmage and 21 total touchdowns, leading the NFL in both categories. He also won the rushing title with 1,459 yards on the ground.

However, it was a campaign that ended in huge disappointment as the 49ers came up agonizingly short in a Super Bowl 58 overtime defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs.

McCaffrey will hope his first NFL season as a married man has a much better ending.

In the meantime, he and Culpo have enough time for a honeymoon, with veterans not due to report to 49ers training camp until July 23.
