5 trade partners for the Bucs if they move on from Rachaad White

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are always a busy team in the offseason through free agency and trades. Jason Licht has proven to be a master roster builder, and in that, you can acquire extra pieces that other teams may find valuable.

One position the Bucs have spare parts for includes running back, and people have floated the idea of a Rachaad White trade.

White is a dual-threat running back but also provides the added bonus of reliable pass protection. Being a complete running back isn’t common anymore, and teams place an added value on that. If the team decides to move on from White after the emergence of Bucky Irving, here are five trade partners the team could have.

The Minnesota Vikings have their starting running back, Aaron Jones, as a looming free-agent. The team values a running back who can pass protect more than anything. Their offense suffered when they were missing Jones down the stretch of the season. Trading for White makes sense for both parties in this situation.

The Dallas Cowboys have been attached to Ashton Jeanty in almost every mock draft published this offseason. However, a less costly option in terms of draft picks and money could come in the way of Rachaad White. He would immediately help the offense as a whole and give Dak Prescott a reliable run game once again.

The Broncos have a rotation of running backs led by Javonte Williams, but he is a free agent this offseason. The team has their franchise quarterback in Bo Nix, and now they have to give him some reliable run support. White would do that while also giving him a fun option in the pass game as well.

The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t often pursue dual-threat players at running back, but White’s pass-blocking could do the trick. The team values gritty players at every position,, and the Bucs running back plays with a chip on his shoulder that they would appreciate. Add in that they don’t want to spend a lot of money re-signing Najee Harris, and a trade for White could be a simple fix.

This makes the most sense from a roster-building perspective and because of a connection to Tampa Bay. New Raiders general manager John Spytek came from Tampa Bay and knows firsthand how effective White can be. Trading for a player he helped draft could make the most sense, and it would give the Raiders a new leadback instead of relying upon Sincere McCormick or Zamir White.
