A.J. Brown's commendable comments towards Treylon Burks earns everyone's respect

The growing legend of Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown continues as he shows what kind of person he is.

Titans Release Wide Receiver as Fans React to AJ Brown Trade

Brown recently went on Barstool's Pardon My Take podcast, where they discussed the recent news of the Tennessee Titans releasing wide receiver Treylon Burks, who was part of the Eagles-Titans trade in 2022 with Brown. The response from Brown was perfect, as he was sympathetic to the wide receiver who has struggled to stay healthy.

"I'm grateful that happened. I outgrew that situation at Tennessee," Brown said via The Tennessean . "I'm glad this happened, because I felt like I was meant to shine. We needed a big team with a big market, and I think this is the right place and the best fit for me. I am a little sad for Treylon Burks. I wish he could get healthy, because he is a good kid. I talk to him numerous times; I've got his number. And it sucks to see it go down like that."

Never change A.J. Brown, never change

This is the type of person the Eagles fan base has loved from the moment he came to Philadelphia. He has become a big part of the community in Philly and has made a name for himself as not only a great player but an even better person.

Over the last three years in the midnight green uniforms, Brown has racked up over 1,000 yards and at least seven touchdowns in each season. He's been selected for two Pro Bowls and three second-team All-Pro selections.

It could be argued that acquiring Brown was the most critical move Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has made in the last five years. Brown gave Jalen Hurts the number one receiver he needed, which has led to two Super Bowl appearances over the previous three years with one title win.

This offseason, Pro Football Focus graded Brown the best wide receiver in the NFL. Several other publications have named him as one of the top five receivers in the game.

There should be sympathy for Burks, who got caught in the middle of a bad move made by his old team, and the injuries have kept him from reaching his full potential. IT's great that Brown has had a relationship with him and served as a big brother to him.

What poetic justice would it be to see Burks in an Eagles uniform playing alongside Brown? Let's hope Burks gets his second chance in the NFL soon, while Brown continues to prove his dominance on the field.
