Aaron Glenn's Jets Vision Becomes Perfectly Clear After Draft

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn, along with general manager Darren Mougey, had a big task ahead of them this offseason, and now that the NFL Draft has concluded the vision for the new regime is becoming clear.

Aaron Glenn's Jets Vision Becomes Perfectly Clear After Draft

For Glenn, he's a tough coach who wants his players to bring an aggressive mentality, both on and off the field, with the need to wash their hands of the Aaron Rodgers era clear for all to see.

But it won't be a quick fix, and New York's draft selections have shared a common theme—they all have the type of demeanor that Glenn is looking for.

And when you are trying to build and establish a new culture, having the right kind of player in your building is crucial.

"The number one thing is we really got guys that fit the brand of who we're going to be," Glenn said. "We've been very intentional about the guys that we want to be part of this organization. I would say the same things when it comes to coaches, everyone fits. We want to continue that trend. We might look different and act different, but the core of everyone is the same."

There will be a dogged mentality from the Jets team, and it was one that we saw on full display with the Detroit Lions last season where Glenn was defensive coordinator and had to navigate a host of injuries.

Glenn still had the unit playing good football, and it was due to his ability to bring everyone together that fueled the playoff run.

Now, he's looking to do that in New York, and in getting the players with the right mental and physical make-up, he's slowly starting to make the Jets team in his vision.

Which is becoming clearer with each passing day.
