Aaron Rodgers shares two reasons why the Tennessee Titans are a bad fit for both sides as his next team in 2025

As the Tennessee Titans hunt for an upgrade at QB over Will Levis for 2025, Aaron Rodgers has been a name floated as a possibility.

The future Hall of Famer is in search of a new starting job this fall after being released by the new New York Jets regime in February, and there are some reasons on the surface a connection to Tennessee makes sense.

For starters, the Titans need help in the worst way at QB. While Rodgers started 2024 well below average, he finished strong enough to make folks wonder if distance from his 2023 Achilles injury is allowing him to return to form. At his age, I’m not holding my breath. But never say never.

Rodgers also famously has property in the middle Tennessee area, and he’s spoken very fondly of the great state of Tennessee. Tennessee is in fact great, and that’s why he’s one of countless celebrities with a home here.

But none of that changes the fact that Rodgers is a poor fit as the Titans plan at QB this year. Not only is it a poor fit, it’s also not something the team is particularly interested in. I wrote at length about what I know on that front right here.

TMZ cornered Rodgers this past week, and it turns out the Titans aren’t a great fit in his eyes either. He was asked on his way out of a workout what he’s looking for in his next landing spot.

“If they want you” is what he laid out first. He wants to go somewhere he feels wanted.. strike 1 for the Titans, I’m afraid.

When pressed further, he went on to say “if they got a good team.” And there’s strike 2.

It’s not a significant revelation that a free agent, aging Hall of Famer wants to finish his career on a good team that wants him. But it further drives home the point: the Titans and Rodgers aren’t meant for one another.

I’m not sure where—or if—Rodgers will play this fall. And I’m not sure how big an upgrade the Titans can find at QB this spring. But I do know that this is a poor fit that both sides view mutually as just that: poor.
