The Detroit Lions lost one of their crucial pieces last season.
Star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson was an early contender to win Defensive Player of the Year before a broken tibia and fibula forced him to watch from the sidelines.
There were rumors about him potentially returning if the Lions made the Super Bowl.
But after watching them flame out after just one game, he got the time he needed to heal and get back to full strength.
Now, months later, the former Michigan star revealed that he’s been fully cleared to resume football activities.
“I’m fully cleared,” Hutchinson said.

Hutchinson has reportedly looked quite sharp in the team’s offseason workouts.
He was always expected to be fully healthy for the start of the upcoming season, and he didn’t suffer any sort of setback, so this news isn’t necessarily surprising.
Hutchinson is now eligible to negotiate a new contract with the Lions.
And while the timing might not be right after sustaining such a complicated injury, he’s already lived up to the expectations and proven to be one of the most disruptive defensive forces in the league.
He will be eligible for a lofty contract extension in the offseason, and staying healthy will be crucial for him to get the money he’s worth.
The Lions will no longer have Aaron Glenn calling the shots on defense, and that could also lead to some regression.
Then again, with Hutchinson chasing the opposing quarterback around, they will always have a chance to get a stop.
