Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are still getting over the fact that Dorit Kemsely has announced her separation from Paul “PK” Kemsely. There had been rumblings of trouble for quite some time, but no one ever wants to see a marriage dissolve.
Now, Andy Cohen is weighing in on the matter and telling fans to stop saying it’s a publicity stunt. Plus, he discusses RHOBH‘s upcoming season, and the Summer House and Vanderpump Rules reunions.
Dorit joined RHOBH during the show’s seventh season, and fans quickly grew to love her and PK. The two have been married since 2015 and have two kids together, Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8. However, fans also saw their struggles on the show.
Now, Andy is talking to E! about the rumors and the nastiness regarding speculation that Dorit announced her separation as a PR stunt or a way to remain on the show. There had previously been speculation that she may be fired or demoted if she refused to open up about her relationship status.
Andy says, “I think that’s ridiculous. I think that’s a terrible thing to accuse someone of.”
He also told the publication how he felt about such a long-time couple calling it quits.
He says to E!, “I was sad for them. They were just one of those couples that seemed very much in love. They got each other.”
Dorit took to social media on May 9 to announce her separation from PK.
We, as a couple, have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together. To [safeguard] our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children, we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children. We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey.
While talking to E!, Andy was asked what he could share about the upcoming season of RHOBH. He says, “I want them to tease nothing. I want them to go shoot the new season and then we should talk about it.”
He goes on, “I think it’s the most fun when you watch something and you hear about it for the first time when you’re watching the show.”
Andy then mentioned how impactful the RHOSLC finale was because the cast and crew kept things under wraps.
Filming has started for the new season of RHOBH. There have been quite a few leaks from filming, but hopefully, production can keep the important storyline details a bit close to the vest to keep them a surprise.
Andy also discussed the Vanderpump Rules reunion. He calls the upcoming parts “intense” and also reiterates how the cast didn’t see the finale until the reunion taping.
Regarding the upcoming Summer House reunion, he says, “We really went deep about Lindsay and Carl. You find out the story behind Wes and Ciara’s relationship.” He then teases a surprising conflict between the women, which Jesse Solomon recently alluded to.
Andy also says he doesn’t think he would be a good fit for The Traitors because they wouldn’t trust him.
