During an interview on Thursday night, Andy Cohen reacted to his wax figure at Madame Tussauds while also addressing a number of Real Housewives topics.
As he spoke of being “flattered” by the museum approaching him, the 56-year-old Watch What Happens Live host shared an update on the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and teased the new season of The Real Housewives of New York City while also confirming Kyle Richards, 55, and Dorit Kemsley, 48, were “transparent” about their splits on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I am freaked out in the greatest way,” Andy admitted of his wax figure during an August 15 interview with Entertainment Tonight. “This is so exciting, and they did such a brilliant job, and the set is perfect.”
Looking back at the process, Andy said, “I sat there for several hours while they poked and prodded and measured and touched and posed me, and then I had to go to the dentist and get a mold made of my teeth. That’s my suit, those are my Dolce and Gabbana shoes. He’s wearing my clothes, as he should.”
According to Andy, when it comes to RHONJ and the possible return of Teresa Giudice, 52, fans “will get news no time soon.”
“We’re gonna take our time. We’re in no rush. You have to wait for great things,” he explained.
Moving on to RHONY season 15, whose trailer was released earlier this week, Andy said, “The season is really dramatic.”
“I think what you’re gonna find this season is we’ve got a really cohesive group. This group has lived as a unit for the last several years, so I think people are gonna love seeing how the dynamics have shifted within the group, and also, it’s super aspirational,” he shared. “The fashion is through the roof. They’re really funny, and I’m really excited about the momentum we have going into the season.”
When Shannon Beador‘s recent claim of a near-nervous breakdown was mentioned, Andy confirmed that viewers will see the ordeal play out on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
“You have to kind of wait and see, but we were there for it all, and I have to say, seeing her with [Alexis Bellino], kind of responding on different sides to things that are coming out, is a really fascinating dynamic that we have not seen on that show in … ever,” he noted.
Then, when it was suggested that bringing Alexis, 47, back was shady on the part of RHOC producers, Andy defended the decision.
“It would’ve been super shady had Alexis not been great friends over the last few years with [Heather Dubrow] and [Emily Simpson], and she and [Tamra Judge] made up … So she was also in a place where she was more integrated into the group without just the John Janssen of it all,” he stated.
Looking ahead to RHOBH season 14, Andy said that Kyle and Dorit were open about their separations from Mauricio Umansky, 54, and Paul “PK” Kemsley, 56, respectively.
“You are gonna get it. We all want to know,” he teased. “We just wrapped a gangbuster season, and I think people are gonna be very excited to see what happened.”
Also during the interview, Andy confirmed Mary Cosby, 51, has returned to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
“Mary Cosby is back, and she is super engaged in a way that I think is really gonna surprise people,” he revealed. “This season, you will see her ziplining. You will see her doing trust falls with the group. Everything, she does it. She’s game. She has a great attitude. She’s great. I’m very excited about that. She’s so funny.”
