Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is known to be a huge Green Bay Packers fan, and while he's from Chicago, he has never been shy about showing his love for the Wisconsin-based NFL team.
That being said, it sure didn't come as a surprise that Davis took the chance to share a postgame moment with Jordan Love when the Packers quarterback watched Friday's game between the Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.
Dave McMenamin of ESPN shared a photo of Davis and Love exchanging jerseys after the game. According to the veteran reporter, the Lakers star also told the Packers signal-caller that he's "thinking of getting a cheese tattoo" as a tribute to the Green Bay team.
As NFL fans would know, Packers fans are called "Cheeseheads," which is a nod to Wisconsin's popularity as a dairy state.
However, since Anthony Davis was born in Chicago and grew up there, his fandom for the city's biggest rival in the Packers certainly didn't go unnoticed.
"AD YOU FROM CHICAGO BRO WHAT IS THIS," a commenter wrote on a post from NBA on ESPN.
"Ain’t he from Chicago?" another follower said.
"Don’t come to the chi nomo," a social media user further stated.
A poster added, "Better get a bears tattoo [expletive] u thinking about buddy."
"Dudes from Chicago born and raised yet bandwagons the packers," a fifth commenter said.
For what it's worth, Davis has already explained before why he follows the Packers, sharing that it's because of former Green Bay wideout Randall Cobb.
AD grew close to Cobb since they both attended Kentucky. When he made it to the NBA and had to choose an NFL team to support, he went with the Packers because of his friendship with Cobb.
