The New York Jets season has been the stuff of nightmares through the first 10 games, posting a 3-7 record and looking anything but a playoff team.
With so much talent on the roster, for whatever reason, things on both sides of the ball haven't been clicking in the way many envisioned.
For some the season is over for Jeff Ulbrich's team, and with only a glimmer of hope that the Jets might somehow get something positive going, there isn't much to get excited about.
Receiver Garrett Wilson, who leads the Jets in yards (704), receptions (65) and is joint-leader in touchdowns (five), he knows he has to play far better than he has while stating that time is running out to get something from this horror season.
"Personally, I need to go out there and get more separation and get it faster," Wilson said. "I need to do my part to help us be the offense that I think we can be. Our window is dwindling. We need to get this going right away."
Getting things going the "right" way has been an arduous task for the Jets in 2024, and despite all the positive words and the knowledge that things need to change, not much has.
The energy levels that were questioned back against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7 are still there after both Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams spoke of it after the loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
So time is running out for the Jets if it hasn't already, but Wilson has hope that things can turn around, and right now, hope is all the embattled franchise has to cling to.
