Bachelor In Paradise Star Slams Toxic Fans After Shocking Bullying Confession

Bachelor in Paradise season 10 star scolded toxic fans after contestant Kat Izzo revealed that she'd been bullied online during her past Bachelor Nation appearances.

A new batch of contestants from season 10 of 'Bachelor in Paradise' has been revealed. Here's what we know.

Bachelor in Paradise season 10 star scolded toxic fans after contestant Kat Izzo revealed that she'd been bullied online during her past Bachelor Nation appearances.

In an interview with EWBachelor in Paradise season 10 Head of Paradise Relations Hannah Brown urged fans of the show to "be kind" as they watched, in light of Kat opening up about her past online bullying. Hannah, who was a contestant in Colton Underwood's Bachelor season and later starred in The Bachelorette season 15, said, "I’m somebody who has experienced it firsthand."

Hannah then reminded Bachelor in Paradise fans that they're watching real people when they view the show. She stated, "What I love about Bachelor Nation is they are so invested in our love stories and for the most part, they are rooting us on. But there are a few people that forget that the comments that they put out there, real people read them."

Hannah continued, "They're not characters on TV, they're not playing a role. It's people being their most authentic self. And being vulnerable doesn't always mean that you're right. None of us are good or bad, and you don't know the full person."

Hannah concluded with a call to action for Bachelor in Paradise fans. She said, "Words have power, so when you call somebody names or send out threats, that energy is really hurtful. So, just be kind."

What Hannah Brown Addressing Bullying Means For Bachelor In Paradise

Hannah Is Absolutely Right About Toxic Fans

Bachelor in Paradise inevitably brings drama, which elicits strong reactions from Bachelor Nation fans, but they sometimes forget that the people that they see on their screens are real. Although Kat did exhibit some bad behavior during her time on Zach Shallcross' Bachelor season and Bachelor in Paradise season 9, she was hardly the supervillain that the show made her out to be.

Bachelor Nation fans only seem to be getting bolder and meaner as the years go by. The cyber bullying gets worse and worse, no matter how much the contestants speak out against it. While they should try to ignore it, eventually it does take a toll on them because they're only human.

Fans have to remember that they're only seeing a small part of what actually occurred during Bachelor in Paradise season 10, which was then manipulated into a storyline by the producers. If the producers want to create a villain, they can do so very easily. Hannah is right that fans don't know the full people that the contestants really are.

I hope that Bachelor in Paradise season 10 portrays the contestants in a respectful light and that fans remember that they're real people with real feelings. Kat didn't deserve the harsh bullying she received, and, hopefully, history won't repeat itself. Bachelor fans must do better and remember to always be kind.
