There was some speculation that the Boston Bruins were going to be recalling fan favourite Fabian Lysell, as he wasn't present for Providence Bruins morning skate Tuesday.

Not long after, the Boston Bruins made a surprising move when they announced a two-player roster transaction.

The move involved both Fabian Lysell and Michael Callahan both being recalled to the Boston Bruins from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

Now Lysell is going to get another chance in the NHL with the Boston Bruins as he is going to be joining them for their five-game road trip where they will be playing four games out west.

This is Lysell's second time being recalled by the Boston Bruins. The first time was back in Decemeber when he made his long awaited NHL debut.

The Boston Bruins drafted Lysell in the first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, but has never been given a chance in the NHL.

After the call up, Joe Sacco shocked fans with his comments about Lysell.

Lysell was taking line rushes with Jakub Lauko and Marat Khusnutdinov, but it's unclear if the Bruins will have him in the lineup on Thursday for their game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

"I think it's it's good that he's getting an opportunity,' Sacco said.

Lysell has been good in Providence as he has 11 goals, and 23 assists for 34 points in 51 games before being called up again.
