Norris, 24, averaged 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 36 games in the G-League this season. The 6-foot-7 forward is known for his outside shooting, knocking down 38 percent of his attempts from 3-point range this year on 8.6 attempts per game.

Norris starred at UC Santa Barbara in college before going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft. He signed a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks in July 2023 but was released back in December 2023. He signed a training camp deal with Memphis this season and had remained in their G-League affiliate after being released during training camp.

Norris will replace Anton Watson on the Celtics roster as a stretch big. Boston released the second-round pick on Sunday after he made 21 appearances with the Maine Celtics in the G-League, posting 12.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in 18 starts. Watson struggled with his shot in Maine, shooting just 42.8 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from 3-point range.

The Celtics now have all of their two-way slots filled again after the Norris signing. Boston had until March 4th to sign a player to a two-way contract this season.
