Brandin Cooks reveals his New Orleans Saints jersey number

If you kept your Brandin Cooks jersey from his last season with the New Orleans Saints back in 2016, you’re in luck. When the wide receiver takes the field in 2025, he’ll once again be wearing the number 10.

That road was cleared when Marquez Valdes-Scantling departed in free agency. In some ways, that statement could apply to play style and jersey number, but let’s focus on the latter.

Cooks has played for five teams through his NFL career, and he’s never wore the same twice. When delving into his jersey history, there were two trends that were apparent. Cooks never wore the same twice, and each destination had its own number. By returning to New Orleans, one of that tendencies had to be broken.

By holding on to this jersey, you can have a current player’s jersey as well as the added benefit of the jersey being considered a throwback.

The NFL jerseys are made by Nike. That’s been true for the jerseys worn by the players during the game since 2012. Until 2016, however, jerseys sold to the public were still made by Reebok. This means if you bought a Brandin Cooks jersey his first two year, your jersey should be considered vintage because they don’t make those anymore.
