Brandon Aiyuk continues to tease Commanders fans about trade before training camp

It is no secret. There has been some discussions over the past handful of months regarding the San Francisco 49ers trading wideout Brand Aiyuk. They've been negotiating an extension, but the two sides have not been able to come to an agreement.

Aiyuk has since met with 49ers general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan to air his grievances. It was reported the meeting went well but, with no reports of progress in talks, the 2020 first-round pick was back on TikTok on Sunday.

The Washington Commanders seem to be a potential landing spot if San Francisco did move the playmaker.

Aiyuk continues to tease Commanders fans about potential trade

Aiyuk has stirred the pot on multiple occasions via social media. This move by him to post a picture of Commanders film on his TikTok is just the latest. The choice raises a major question, too.

How did Aiyuk get access to OTA/minicamp practice tape of Washington?

That piece of the puzzle is quite the head scratcher. That film is not easy to gain access to at all.

Aiyuk played with Commanders QB Jayden Daniels during their college days together at Arizona State. They clearly share a friendship, and they both may want to play together in the future. Aiyuk totaled 1,192 receiving yards in his final season at Arizona State in 2019 with Daniels at quarterback.

Adam Schefter noted recently that a deal to send Aiyuk to the Commanders was discussed around the NFL Draft, but no trade was ever finalized.

We'll see which direction this fiasco goes. There's no doubt that Aiyuk is keeping a potential move to Washington in the back of the minds of Commanders fans, though.

Keep in tuned to this situation if you are a fan of the 49ers or Commanders.
