Brittany Cartwright is open to dating right now — under one condition.
How to Watch
In a recent interview, Brittany revealed that she would want to go on a date sometime in the future as she embarks on this next chapter of her life. "I'm open to whatever, but I do not need a boyfriend right now," The Valley cast member explained to Access Hollywood. "I've got to focus on myself, obviously, focusing on my son, that's the most important [thing] right now. But, you know, a lot's happened to me recently. I got a lot going on. So, we'll see what happens."
Brittany also explained that she is currently looking at her life through fresh eyes in this new phase of her life. "I'm having fun," she said. "You know, see what happens. Everything is new right now. Every single thing is brand new right now, so it's crazy."
Brittany Cartwright says she's "putting myself first"
Brittany, who is currently navigating an ongoing divorce with her ex Jax Taylor, has been busy focusing on the present moment as she tries to co-parent their 3-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi.
Although divorce is something that is very hard, Brittany revealed that she is just trying to focus on all of the good things in her life. This includes herself and her son — not a new boyfriend.
"I'm just trying to stay positive, be as strong as I possibly can, and just, you know, focus on what's important, 'cause, you know, my son's the most important thing ever and I need to put myself first so," she said.
Brittany reiterated this idea in an interview with People in September. "I wanted to make sure I did every single thing I could possibly do to give it a chance and to try for my family, for my son, for my future, but I couldn't do it anymore," she said. "I had to put myself first."
Does Brittany Cartwright want more kids?
Yes, she does. During a September episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits, Brittany revealed that she has always wanted a sibling for Cruz. "Everyone knows that I've always wanted to have more kids," she explained.
"I love kids," she continued. "I want Cruz to have a sibling. I think it would be good for him."
While she admitted that she was "glad" that she didn't have another baby with Jax, there is room for her to grow her family in the future: "But I'm always open in the future, to, you know, if I fall in love one day or anything like that, like, I'm just trying to see where life takes me and put it in God's hands."
