Brittany Cartwright Wants Nothing to Do With Jax Taylor As He Stars Filming For The Valley S2

Jax Taylor is set to begin filming for season 2 of The Valley, but his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, “wants nothing to do with him.”

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are doing their best to navigate their new normal amid their ongoing separation.

Sources tell PEOPLE that the former Bravo couple will continue to work together on The Valley, but a reconciliation isn’t in the cards.

“Jax will be returning to filming The Valley for season 2 after completing his stint at a mental health facility. It’s been a tough time for him. He had been in treatment for the last 30 days,” a source explains.

The source adds: “Brittany was supportive of Jax’s decision to seek help for their son’s sake. However, going forward, she’s not interested in having anything to do with him.

When it comes to filming for season 2 of The Valley, the source says, “At this time, the pair aren’t capable of being in the same room together or being in communication with one another. Brittany has reached her limit and remains strong to do what is best for herself and her son. During this time, she’s received support from her family and friends.”

The insider also reveals that Jax and Brittany’s martial/separation drama will play out in the upcoming season of The Valley.

“As the new season of The Valley unfolds, a lot of shocking details will come to the surface,” the source notes. “Since nothing has been off-limits, it may end up being the most unpredictable, no-holds-barred seasons to ever appear on reality television yet.”

The source adds, “There’s two sides to every story and Jax has his views that will be addressed once he’s back. His focus is to be amicable co-parents for the sake of their son.”

Jax and Brittany, who met in 2015 and married in 2019, announced their separation in February. On their podcast, When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany, the pair announced they were taking a break: “Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”

The Valley is expected to return to Bravo for season 2 in 2025.
