The Valley cast has spent much of the show's inaugural season unpacking the rumors that Michelle Saniei Lally stepped out of her marriage with Jesse Lally. And while Kristen Doute was initially to blame for the chatter, Jax Taylor recently alleged that his now-estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, may have been behind the rumors.

Brittany, however, is categorically denying this — and calling out Jax in the process.
On the May 10 episode of the pair's podcast, When Reality Hits, Brittany kicked things off by telling Jax that there's "some things" he needs to "clear up" after Episode 8 of The Valley aired on May 7. More specifically, she stated, "You straight up lied to everybody and said, 'Brittany told me that Michelle has been texting guys or something...'"
Jax started to object, but Brittany continued, "But that's what you said on the show, so you need to explain yourself because I want to make this very clear. I never told Jax anything about Michelle. I never told anyone anything about Michelle. And you can definitely tell even on the show, I'm not the one spreading things around. I'm not the one telling people."
"I literally had nothing, no part of any of this," she added. "So I just want to make that very, very, very clear because I love Michelle and I just feel like that was so unfair that now people are trying to say that I started a rumor where I definitely, definitely did not and would never."
Did Brittany tell Jax that Michelle cheated on Jesse?
Jax defended himself by invoking Kristen's name, but Brittany wasn't having it. She continued to press Jax about why he felt the need to blame her for the infidelity rumors, but he ultimately concluded, "We don't need another argument. It's just not worth it."
Replied Brittany, "I just don't like being accused of throwing my friends under the bus because I'm so not that type of person."
"And I didn't mean to do that," Jax responded. "I didn't want to throw you under the bus and that wasn't my intention. The only thing that you told me to do was not to bring it up again after I told you. But again, unfortunately, we are filming a TV show and there's things that we have to talk about and I had to bring it up."
The Valley airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
