Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and his wife Brittany seem like they’re pretty much the perfect couple. Brittany isn’t just a WAG, she’s also an athlete, like her husband, and is a former soccer player. She’s a founding co-owner of the Kansas City Current, which is part of the National Women’s Soccer League.
One could say Patrick and Brittany are the true definition of a power couple. They also already have a large family together. The couple had their first child, daughter Sterling Skye, on Feb. 20, 2021, followed by their son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, on Nov. 28, 2022. Then, they had their third child, a girl named Golden Raye, earlier this year, on Jan. 12, 2025.
Brittany was recently asked about her family and future with Patrick, and she had what some would say was a surprising response.
Brittany Mahomes Talks Family and Future
Brittany appeared on the Wednesday, June 11 episode of the WHOOP podcast, and talked about whether she wants to have another baby and go from three to four kids. Brittany quickly and clearly said that the couple has no plans to have another baby “for a while.” She didn’t shoot down the idea completely but didn’t seem enthused about it.
“Nope,” she responded right away. “We’re done. We’re done for a while. Three. I don’t know, I mean, I feel like you can never like say you’re done, but I think three is all I need.”
So, don’t expect to see any new little Mahomes kiddies running around, at least for a while. Time will tell if they decide to make their family larger, but for now, the answer is obviously a no.
Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is Still Elite
Switching gears to her husband, Patrick is still considered the most elite quarterback in the NFL going into the 2025 season according to PFF. In a May 20 piece for the outlet, John Kosko ranks the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback the No. 1 signal-caller going into the new season but warns that he’s on thin ice.
“Mahomes still holds the top spot, but the margin has never been slimmer. His passing grade over the past two seasons sits at 86.0, a strong number but a step below the elite level we saw from 2018 through 2022,” Kosko stated in the feature. “The supporting cast hasn’t always helped, particularly at receiver, but it’s fair to say his otherworldly level of play we saw from him from 2018 to 2022 is starting to get further and further away in the rearview mirror.”
He added some positive things, stating that “no one blends poise, playmaking and postseason performance like Mahomes, which is why he remains at No. 1 entering 2025, even if the field is closer than ever.”
Those are certainly glowing remarks, and Patrick deserves them. Right behind Patrick on the tally is Joe Burrow of Cincinnati Bengals, who is always a tough apponent with the right players around him.
“The only real knock on Joe Burrow is that he hasn’t entered a season at full strength in years,” Kosko stated. “But when he’s right, there may be no one better…If the Bengals can field even a league-average defense, Burrow would give them a real shot at winning the AFC every year.”
