Brock Purdy Makes Troubling Confession About the 49ers Offense

The San Francisco 49ers have a major decision to make regarding star quarterback Brock Purdy.

Over the last couple of weeks, a lot of reports have come out about the new contract that Purdy is seeking. He's looking for a lot of money and so far it hasn't sounded like the 49ers are willing to give him the kind of money he wants.

Jordan Schultz, an NFL insider for Fox Sports, has revealed the latest update on Purdy's contract desires.

"Earlier in the 2024 season, it seemed possible that Purdy could surpass Dak Prescott’s $60 million annual clip with the Cowboys if he had another stellar campaign and deep playoff run," Schultz wrote. "While that now seems less likely, multiple sources insist that Purdy could still land 'anywhere from $50-$55 million, or potentially more.'"

Amid all of the contract negotiations and rumors, Purdy has made a concerning confession about himself.

As shared by Coach Yac on X, Purdy made an appearance on the "Built 4 More Podcast," and admitted that he has trouble seeing his target due to the size of his offensive line.

Standing in at 6-foot-1, Purdy is not a tall quarterback. Trouble seeing over the line is common among shorter quarterbacks and can become a major issue at times.

During the 2024 NFL season with the 49ers, Purdy played in 15 games. He completed 65.9% of his pass attempts for 3,864 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. On the ground, he picked up 323 yards and five scores as well.

At 25 years old, Purdy is just entering his prime. It will be interesting to see if San Francisco gets a new deal locked up with its starting quarterback this offseason.
