The Denver Broncos were one of the biggest surprises during the 2024 season. Many were expecting them to struggle as they were in the midst of a rebuild. Instead, their young talent rose to the occasion, and they punched their ticket to the AFC playoffs as a wildcard team with a 10-7 record.
This success, for some reason, isn't being noticed by EA Sports, with the team's rating in the early beta period for the upcoming game being flat-out disrespectful.
Broncos' low team rating in the early beta for EA Sports' Madden 26 video game doesn't make any sense
During the early beta testing period for the upcoming Madden 26 video game, the Broncos have an overall team rating of 79. This has them tied with the Carolina Panthers for the fourth lowest rating in the game. And the only teams lower than them are the New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, and the Washington Commanders.
Seeing the Broncos rated as a bottom four team in the NFL doesn't make any sense, but just a glance around other ratings and you will notice a lot of strange ones. The Commanders, for example, were in the NFC Championship last year but currently have an 78 overall rating, which is the third worst in the NFL. Another weird one is the New York Jets having an 86 overall rating, which is higher than the Buffalo Bills and tied with the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. I think it's safe to assume that EA Sports are still finalizing these ratings and should not be viewed anywhere near a final product.
