The Cleveland Browns were officially eliminated from playoff contention on Sunday after a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 2024 season has been a massive disappointment for the Browns. Coming off a playoff run in 2023 with most of the same roster, Cleveland struggled with injuries all year, especially on offense.
One of the impactful players who has missed time this season is All-Pro guard Wyatt Teller, who missed four games with a sprained MCL. Despite Cleveland's poor season and his injury struggles, Teller revealed that he wants to stay with the Browns.
“I’m working for an extension so I can stay here in Cleveland,” Teller said on Monday.
Signing the two-time All-Pro to an extension would be a smart move for a Browns team that may need some consistency in the coming years when they experience turnover with other positions, especially at quarterback.
An extension could also keep the 30-year-old in Cleveland for the remainder of his career.
Teller has been with the Browns since 2019, when he was traded to Cleveland from the Buffalo Bills. He quickly established himself as one of the best starting guards in the league, and signed a four-year, $56.8 million extension with the Browns in 2021.

Teller responded to his wife's comments on Monday, claiming that the environment is "hostile" in Pittsburgh.
