The Cleveland Browns scored one of the most impressive and unique draft groups in recent years as they selected several of the most well known college football players in recent memory.
On Friday, Browns rookie minicamp kicked off in Cleveland as coach Kevin Stefanski's bunch began sorting through the pecking order to see who will be able to contribute most to the 2025-2026 team.
The day was rife with interesting scenes from players across the offense, defense and special teams as players began acquainting themselves with Cleveland's coaching staff.
It also included an ambitious, upbeat prediction from one of the franchise's most charismatic coaches.
Browns defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire was seen on camera speaking with first round pick Mason Graham, the Michigan Wolverines rookie who is expected to vie for a starting position at defensive tackle.
Cesaire instructed Graham about what to focus on early in camp while offering up a target to aim at in 2025-2026.
"It's going to be a fun weekend," Cesaire said to Graham in a jersey room conversation. "How you feeling, you in shape?" he asked the former Michigan lineman.
"Yeah, ready to go," Graham said. "You gonna kill me or what?" Graham asked Cesaire, a question that caught the Browns assistant coach off guard.
"Nah," Cesaire replied, smiling to the camera, adding, "Why would I do that?"
He revealed his sky high expectations for the rookie top ten pick shortly afterward.
"No, hey, I want you to come out there, no expectations, alright, the only thing I want you to do is give it your all, empty the tank, okay, and we'll figure things out from there," he added.
"It's a mindset first before it's a technique," he added. "Do that, you end up starting, you have 20 sacks, and we'll be good, okay?" Cesaire finished as he patted Graham on his jersey, to which Graham calmly replied, "For sure."
