Browns’ Dillon Gabriel Catches Strays After David Njoku’s Shedeur Sanders Shoutout

The Cleveland Browns drafted two quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL draft. While the front office has been honest that drafting two wasn't their plan, the opportunity to land Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round after selecting Dillon Gabriel in the third round was too good to pass up.

With the draft now over, all of the hype surrounding the Browns has had to do with Sanders. Gabriel has not been talked bout nearly as much.

That was seen once again when Cleveland tight end David Njoku sent a message to Sanders, but did not mention Gabriel at all.

ESPN Cleveland shared a screenshot of the message Njoku sent to Sanders on Instagram.

Fans instantly noticed that Njoku didn't send Gabriel a note like he did for Sanders. They did not let that go without commenting.

"Did he say anything to Dillon?" one fan questioned.

A second fan wrote, "Mind u, nobody posted Gabriel. Tells u all u need to know."

"I wonder which rookie QB the locker room will get behind more?" a third comment read.

Another fan commented, "Is Shedeur getting more love from players than Dillion Gabriel."

"Gabriel not bout to be a qb for the browns for long," a fifth comment said.

Gabriel will have his chance to compete for playing time. Currently, the Browns have five quarterbacks on the roster.

As of right now, Cleveland has Joe Flacco, Sanders, Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Deshaun Watson on the roster. Every quarterback will be competing for a spot on the roster come training camp and preseason time.
