Browns’ Elijah Moore makes a strong statement on his future in Cleveland past the 2024 season

One piece of the Cleveland Browns offense that isn’t being talked about much this offseason has been Elijah Moore. The Browns traded a second-round pick for Moore a year ago and he had 640 yards and two touchdowns.

By making a trade happen for Jerry Jeudy, the Browns opened up a competition for the WR2 spot on the offense. Jeudy was paid and is with the Browns for the next few years, while Moore is scheduled to be a free agent next cycle.

During OTAs this week, Moore was asked if he has been giving it much thought.

“So, like, if I think about it, I’m gonna drive myself crazy, but I feel like I do it kind of just like how I did my entire life,” Moore explained. “I just take it one day at a time you know, I focus on the task ahead, you know, if I handle what I’m supposed to handle, I’m gonna be blessed, you see what I’m saying? So that’s just how I look at it. I don’t really focus on that because it’s not my time yet.”

No matter who has the second most production between Moore and Jeudy. It is possible that both players end up having similar seasons in the 800 to 900-yard range. Either way, Moore sees the offense being better on offense as a whole.

“I just feel like it’s going to be a lot more explosive. You know, that’s what comes to my mind when you have players like how I know that these players that you named are. It’s super exciting to line up against, you know, with these guys alongside with these guys. And I just think that having Dorsey, someone who’s an extravagant guy like him, you look at him and you could just tell he loves football. So, my time here has been nothing but a blessing learning from somebody else who has a great track record, you know, so respect to that, and I’m excited.”

The offense as a whole all depends on how good Deshaun Watson is and if he can get back tit he played he was a few years ago.

The conversation of the Browns and Moore staying together in the future will simply depend on how his 2024 campaign goes. It could be a situation where he tests the market next free agency and sees what his worth is.

In a contract year, perhaps good things should be expected from Moore. We’ll see in 100 days when the Browns host the Dallas Cowboys to kick off the 2024 season.
