Browns Interested in NFL Draft QB Not Named Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders

The Cleveland Browns still badly need a quarterback. Deshaun Watson is not the answer anymore and neither is Kenny Pickett.

Throughout the course of the NFL offseason, the Browns have been connected to quite a few different names as potential targets. Kirk Cousins, Joe Flacco, and Russell Wilson are just a few of them.

However, there is also a chance that Cleveland could draft its next quarterback.

Right now, the Browns hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. They could opt to take either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.

Another name is worth keeping an eye on as well.

Andrew Berry has to make the right decision. He can't afford to go another year without a legitimate starting quarterback.

With that in mind, ESPN radio's Tony Grossi has revealed another name to watch. Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is still a player with fans inside the building in Cleveland.

“I still think there’s enough support in the Browns building to be on the lookout for Jalen Milroe at the proper time in the draft, depending on what happens in the first round,” Grossi said.

Milroe would likely be a target in the second or third round. He's no longer viewed as a first round prospect.

During the 2024 college football season, Milroe had a down year. He completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 2,844 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. In addition, he tore up defenses to the tune of 726 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground.

Bleacher Report compared Milroe to a "shades of Jalen Hurts with a jet pack & stronger arm," player in their scouting report.
