Cleveland Browns legend Joe Thomas reacted to an offensive starter's shocking "business decision."
The Cleveland Browns will look to finish strong in 2024 following their bye in Week 10.
With players returning to the team facility on Monday, the media got to speak to them for the first time since Week 9. Although there weren't many developments following the bye, one offensive lineman did have a shocking reveal about a past matchup.
Starting left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. revealed to the media that he "made a business decision" to not play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8. Wills missed the matchup with a knee injury, as he supposedly chose to sit the game out to make a full recovery.
The decision to not play through the injury ended up hurting him, as 2023 fourth-round pick Dawand Jones started in his place. After the Browns pulled off the upset victory, Cleveland decided to go with Jones for a second-straight week despite Wills being cleared to play.
Wills' decision to sit the game out didn't go unnoticed by Browns legend and Hall of Fame left tackle Joe Thomas. He took to his social media to react to the report with a single shocked emoji.
Thomas, who was an eight-time All-Pro and 10-time Pro Bowler with Cleveland, was notorious for playing through injuries and rough stretches, so it won't come as much surprise that he doesn't like Wills' decision.
With Wills set to be a free agent in the offseason, this decision might not just impact the remainder of his season, but also his career.
