The Cleveland Browns are firmly focused on the battle for starting quarterback this offseason, and rightfully so.
With four possibilities, the Browns are either in the best situation they've been in for years under center ... or the worst. We won't know for a couple of months.
But even as veterans battle it out with rookie draft picks for the QB job, Cleveland also needs to address other position groups. One of those is pass catcher. The wideout room is currently pretty thin after Amari Cooper was traded away to Buffalo last season.
While there are rumors about a possible return of Cooper, the Browns could use another pair of hands.
That could be either at wide receiver or, as Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox thinks, tight end. Knox suggests a straight-up trade with the Atlanta Falcons, Greg Newsome for Kyle Pitts.
"While player-for-player swaps are rare, this one could make sense for both teams," Knox wrote. "Pitts hasn't really been an offensive centerpiece since his rookie season, and the Falcons may not want to pay him market value long-term. Newsome has been mostly solid for the Browns, when healthy, but Cleveland needs to think about its offensive future."
It's an odd suggestion because of their current tight end situation.
David Njoku is still under contract through next season with an $11.5 million salary. And the team just spent a third-round pick on Bowling Green tight end Harold Fannin Jr.
Granted, the Browns would be ok moving on from Newsome, but the Pitts trade wouldn't make much sense.
