The Cleveland Browns are prepping for a Week 17 home matchup with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET. They're also getting ready for a pretty high draft pick in next year's 2025 NFL Draft.
Sitting at 3-12 and in last place in the AFC North, the Browns are currently tied with four other teams - the Patriots, Jaguars, Titans and Raiders - with a .200 winning percentage, but would pick No. 5 overall due to their strength of schedule rating.
There's not much else to play for, and coach Kevin Stefanski has done enough evaluating to know where his weaknesses and strengths are roster-wise.
On Thursday, the team decided that defensive lineman Shelby Harris had seen enough of the season. Harris will be placed on injured reserve, ending his 2024 campaign two games prematurely.
In a corresponding move, wideout James Proche was signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. Proche has tallied three catches for 21 yards this year.
Harris started 13 of 14 games this season and registered 37 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two passes defended and a forced fumble. After suffering an elbow injury, he'll now sit.
