Browns Myles Garrett injury update the day after leaving a drill

At his youth camp, the Browns edge rusher was wearing a sleeve

The final day of Cleveland Browns minicamp caused quite a stir for fans as star defensive end Myles Garrett left a drill with an apparent hamstring issue. On day three of minicamp, 10 players were not participating in practice including CB Denzel Ward seemingly getting a veteran’s day off but Garrett’s injury was the big concern.

Garrett walked off with a trainer and didn’t return to practice before the team wrapped up until training camp starts sometime next month. That will be the next time we could see Garrett on the field in Berea but Friday, the day after the injury, he was back on a football field for his youth camp.

According to Easterling’s report, Garrett was moving around fine:

The hamstring, beyond the sleeve, did not appear to be bothering Garrett as he moved around the field at the camp.

While the camp limited what questions could be asked, the Browns hulking defender said “I feel great” when presented with the question as he was walking away.

Overall, much as what HC Kevin Stefanski said after practice Thursday, more positive news that Garrett did not sustain a major injury and will be fine heading into training camp.
