Browns S Grant Delpit received news he wishes he hadn’t from the NFL before Cleveland plays the Broncos

Every time the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers matchup together it is a physical, chippy game. That was no different in the impressive win by the Browns Thursday night last week.

After coping with a hurricane, COVID and injuries, Browns' Grant Delpit knows: Good things come to those who work - cleveland.com

Safety Grant Delpit is probably regretting one action he had during that game. Delpit took the mouthpiece of Steelers wide receiver George Pickens and threw it to the ground.

Delpit was fined in the amount of $11,255 for that toss of the mouthpiece that was deemed unnecessary roughness. Delpit was not flagged for it during the game. After the game, Delpit posted a video of Pickens trying to trip before he grabbed the mouthpiece and threw it.

The Steelers and Browns will play again in Week 14, so it won’t be the last we see of any potential antics between the two teams. Every time these sides play, it seems we have some extra stuff to talk about after the game that doesn’t have much to do with actual football.

Delpit tied his season-high in tackles against the Steelers with 10 total tackles. The Browns' safety had one tackle for a loss and was flying all around the field. On the season, Delpit has 72 tackles in 10 starts.

The 24-19 win over the Steelers will likely be one of the better moments for the Browns in the entire season. With just three wins on the season, the Browns do not have a ton of good to reflect on.

Delpit and the Browns are in Colorado tonight for a Monday night game against the Broncos. It will be a return to the city that drafted him for Browns wideout Jerry Jeudy. Cleveland has not had much luck in Denver as of late, but will look to change that in Week 13.
