Tez Johnson is completely undersized, but he may be the kind of offensive weapon to put the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all together.

You can never have too many offensive weapons on a Super Bowl-caliber roster.

Unless you are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For them, they might just have too many stars on that side of the ball.

Tampa Bay already had a 1,000-yard runner in Bucky Irving, and a collection of wideouts led by Mike Evans to overwhelm opposing defenses as one of the most talented offenses in the league today.

The Buccaneers didn't stop there, though. Tampa Bay drafted Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka with their first-round pick, and later also brought in Oregon offensive star Tez Johnson in the seventh round.

While a late-round pick like Johnson won't be expected to make a massive impact right away, the Buccaneers have a good reason for drafting him when they did, according to general manager Jason Licht.

"We had a pretty high grade on him [Tez Johnson]. Most of the time that you're watching Oregon offense, he was, he was one of the top, if not the best player on the field," said Licht. "Did the same thing down at the Senior Bowl and makes plays left and right. He's a hell of a returner, hell of a kid... we're super excited, he was so fired up when we called."

Tez is tiny, at 5-10 and 165. But "best player on the field''?

That counts for something.

It's unclear exactly what the Buccaneers will have Johnson do at this point. To compete with the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions, though, the Buccaneers know they will need to overwhelm both teams with offensive firepower to get by.

And Johnson may be able to help with that at the very least.
