Tom Brady has been more reflective of his later career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It's been two full seasons since Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Tom Brady chose to walk away from the NFL after 22 seasons.
Tampa Bay has done fine. They have won another collection of NFC South titles, and have a quality starting quarterback in Baker Mayfield to lead the way in the post-Brady years.
While the Buccaneers may be all set at the quarterback position, Brady has had a chance to look back at his retirement announcement. And how things have changed in his overall life.
Brady recently appeared on WWE star and social media personality Logan Paul's podcast, Impaulsive, to explain what led to his retirement announcement, and what he's doing now.
"I remember when I announced my retirement on social media a couple of years ago... I made a video in the morning and I just literally grabbed my phone. And there was an emotion to it — I was telling myself, 'I'm not doing it again,'" Brady said. "Painters don't give up painting, but football players have to give up football."
The Buccaneers Super Bowl MVP has become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders along with multiple media ventures throughout his career, including now serving as the lead voice for the NFL on FOX.
But it is clear that the quarterback still misses the game that he owns records in throughout his two decade-long journey.
And the Buccaneers will need to try and find a way to match the success they once had with the GOAT.
