While Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht has been praised for his offseason moves thus far, one of the biggest was the addition of linebacker and pass rusher Haason Reddick.
Reddick had a somewhat tumultuous 2024 after getting traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the New York Jets. He sat out the first seven games of the NFL season.
On Wednesday, the team announced that Reddick will wear No. 5 in Tampa Bay.

Those single-digit jersey numbers on front-seven guys can be eye-popping.
Now, can his stats do the same?
When he did take the field last year, he did not play up to his own standards, posting just one sack in those 10 contests after averaging over eight per season.
Licht signed him to address one of the weakest spots on the roster, the pass rush. And had no reservations whatsoever in signing Reddick, even coming off a questionable season in New York.
"We're excited to add a competitor like Haason, who has proven himself to be among the league's most impactful pass rushers. His ability to get after the quarterback and disrupt offenses is exactly what we were looking to add to our defense," said Licht. "He is a defensive playmaker who has a familiarity with our defensive scheme and possesses a unique pass rushing skillset that will be a great fit for us."
Reddick previously wore No. 43 for the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers and No. 7 for the Eagles and Jets
