“Perfect coach material,” another fan responded.

“Absolutely need him on this [Jets] staff,” a fan responded.

A fan suggested that the Jets should “Make him our intern LB coach.”

“Great Leader and Football player. Please become a coach for the Jets. AG has a bunch of former players who were leaders. Make room for one more,” a fan asked the Jets.

“God bless him. The jets need to hire this man immediately as a linebacker’s coach. He is an inspiration and a beloved member of the team,” Boy Green coffee club member Edward Ziff said on YouTube.

Mosley Breaks Silence on Retirement News

Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports broke the Mosley retirement news on social media.

Shortly after the news started picking up steam, Mosley took to social media to confirm the announcement.

Mosley posted a 133-second video on his Instagram that included highlights from his playing career both in college and the pros. He also did some voiceover work for this video package, sending messages to his former teammates, the fans, and telling everyone what is next.

“Once upon a time, a kid from Mobile, Alabama had a dream to do great things on the football field. I followed that dream my whole life, not knowing where you would take me. To envision myself as a Ray Lewis or a Brian Urlacher was just the first step of this 11-year journey. You opened doors that I once only dreamed of. You gave me passion, you gave me strength, self-endurance, pain, and most importantly, DNA to trust and lead men. Today, it is time to wake up from my childhood dream and share it with the next generation. I have spent my whole life and career building my legacy. Now it’s time to start a new chapter with new dreams. It won’t be easy, but I’m here to tell you every sacrifice is worth it. When you wake up, what will your legacy look like?”

Mosley didn’t outright say what he plans to do next. However, when you read between the lines of his retirement message, it sure sounded like a coaching future could be on the horizon. Mosley has already dabbled in a mentor role this offseason.

Months after getting cut by the Jets, Mosley has served as an informal shoulder to lean on for linebackers Quincy Williams and Jamien Sherwood.

Perhaps a more permanent role on the staff could be in his future.
