‘Can’t feel much…’ Kyle Shanahan gives worrying update about Brock Purdy’s scary injury

Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers got visibly hurt last night. During the 49ers’ Monday Night Football game against the Detroit Lions, Purdy suffered a rough tackle and landed sideways on his arm.

Purdy was stirring after the knock and had to come out of the game. It was unclear what the issue was, but the impact was on his shoulder and elbow, which he seemed to be favoring.

Kyle Shanahan spoke after the game about the injury, and the update he provided is quite concerning for his well-being.

Shanahan gives a negative update on Brock Purdy

Kyle Shanahan spoke after the 49ers’ 40-34 loss to the Lions. He noted that Purdy got hit at a specific spot on his arm, and that has caused some nerve damage and loss of feeling.

“Just talking to the doctors, he got hit on the right spot. When you get hit there, your nerves go and you can’t feel much, but hopefully it will be alright.”

Purdy suffered a serious injury from the sounds of what Shanahan had to say. Looking at the impact that was made, it doesn’t look good for the young QB.

Purdy was spotted by cameras during the game, after he was taken out, looking quite morose and down after the injury.

Purdy blames himself for injury

Brock Purdy was spotted by TV cameras talking to 49ers officials about the tackle and subsequent injury. He could be spotted saying that the tackle was his fault.

Purdy understandably looked upset. An injury that causes you to lose feeling in your arm, especially as a quarterback, can be very scary.

Hopefully, we are wrong and the injury amounts to nothing more than a stinger, and Purdy can recover and return with relative ease.
