TD Garden will host the matchup. Puck drop for the Capitals’ first road test is set for 7 pm ET.

Monday evening, the team revealed the roster that would be making the trip up to Boston.

Major offseason additions Pierre-Luc Dubois and Matt Roy will make their Washington preseason debuts in the tilt against the Bruins. They’ll join Capitals veterans Aliaksei Protas, Connor McMichael, Tom Wilson, and Martin Fehervary.

11 of the players were also included on the roster for the club’s preseason opener against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday. Those names include Terik Parascak, Mike Sgarbossa, Andrew Cristall, Hendrix Lapierre, Ethen Frank, Henrik Rybinski, Ivan Miroshnichenko, Hardy Häman Aktell, Ethan Bear, Alex Alexeyev, and Hunter Shepard.

Sgarbossa, though listed on the roster to suit up against Philadelphia, did not take part in the contest after he was hit in the face by a puck before practice on Saturday. Cristall, Miroshnichenko, Parascak, Alexeyev, and Bear all recorded points in the 6-2 loss to the Flyers.

The rest of the roster comprises preseason debuting Calder Cup champions Pierrick Dubé, Vincent Iorio, Chase Priskie, Mitchell Gibson, and 2024 third-round draft selection Ilya Protas, who will share the ice with his brother Aliaksei for the first time since he was drafted.

Some included players have been lined up or paired together throughout camp or the first game. Up front, Dubois has been leading a line featuring McMichael and Wilson as his wingers, and Cristall, Miroshnichenko, and Rybinski also played together against Philadelphia. On defense, Alexeyev and Bear were a pair in the first game, and Fehervary and Roy have been skating together at practice.

The game will be televised on both Monumental Sports Network and NHL Network. Washington will play Boston twice this preseason, matching up again in DC on October 5.

All Capitals players not involved in the game will practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex after the game group’s morning skate on Tuesday. Washington is scheduled for back-to-back games, so another group will take on the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.

Boston has also announced their roster for the game. Almost the entirety of their lineup will be made up of prospects and minor leaguers.
