CB Tre Brown promises 49ers are 'getting a good one'

Cornerback Tre Brown is making the jump from the Seattle Seahawks to the San Francisco 49ers, agreeing to join the former NFC West rival. According to Pro Football Focus, Brown allowed a career-high 144.8 passer rating to opposing quarterbacks last season. However, he promises the 49ers will get his best in 2025.

Brown posted on social media that injuries slowed him down last season. He dealt with an ankle injury. Now fully recovered, he assured fans that the 49ers are "getting a good one."

Brown also battled injuries early in his career, appearing in just five games as a rookie in 2021 and six in 2022.

The Seahawks selected Brown in the fourth round out of Oklahoma in 2021. He appeared in 28 games with 10 starts over the last two seasons. His best effort came in 2023 when he recorded a career-high 34 tackles, two interceptions, a touchdown, a sack, six passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.

Brown joins a 49ers defense looking to fill the void left by Charvarius Ward's departure in free agency.
