Chiefs’ 7-Word Message About Andy Reid Turns Heads on Monday

Andy Reid has been a head coach in the NFL for over 25 years and is now entering his 13th season leading the Kansas City Chiefs, as they look to bounce back from their crushing Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles—the very team Reid coached from 1999 to 2012.

Throughout his career, Reid has firmly established himself as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. And even now, he remains as motivated as ever to chase a fourth Lombardi Trophy in Kansas City alongside star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce—who was drafted the same year Reid took over the team.

This week, as the Chiefs kicked off training camp, Reid drew attention once again with his signature Hawaiian collared shirt look.

“33rd NFL Training Camp for Big Red,” the Chiefs posted on social media, accompanied by a photo of Reid.

“Sirianni don’t know what’s about to hit him,” a fan said.

Someone else added, “Aura.”

Another person wrote, “33 years. What a LEGEND. Go get you another [ring], coach.”

“Greatest of all time,” a fan reacted.

One more fan commented, “How about those Chiefs #BigRed.”

The Chiefs have been the closest thing to a modern-day dynasty since the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era in New England. In 12 seasons under Andy Reid, Kansas City has not only captured three Super Bowl titles but reached the big game five times and secured nine consecutive AFC West division crowns—the second-longest streak in NFL history.

Despite a loaded AFC this season, expectations remain high for the Chiefs. They once again enter the year as the clear favorites to win the division and are among the top contenders to emerge from the AFC, a conference they’ve consistently dominated.

With Reid and Mahomes at the helm, the only teams to knock them out of the playoffs in the AFC have been the Patriots—when Brady was still under center—and the Bengals in 2021.
