Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is entering Year 13 with a fresh vigor after a down 2024 season that left many wondering how much he had left in the tank.
So far, through OTAs, minicamp and the beginning of training camp, the gauge is reading full as the Chiefs get put through their paces at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Given that many fans think this is the final year for Kelce in the NFL, you wouldn't know it based on head coach Andy Reid's comments.
"He looks like he's 20," Reid said with a big smile. "He's doing a good job, he's in great shape. I'm not sure he didn't come in first on the whole conditioning thing; he was right up front. You could see he's been working out. He's worked hard to get to this spot here."
With his form a big question mark, the tight end, along with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Reid, will be tasked with leading the franchise back to the top of the NFL mountain.
Granted, there aren't many who think that is possible despite the Chiefs having played in three straight Super Bowls, but here we are.
For Kansas City and Kelce, any way they slice it, motivation is everywhere this offseason.
And the last thing the NFL wants is to sleep on the Chiefs, because make no mistake about it, they're coming with a vengeance in 2025.
