The Kansas City Chiefs lead the San Francisco 49ers, 28-12, in the fourth quarter after receiver Mecole Hardman took in an 18-yard handoff for a touchdown.
Hardman now has 55 total scrimmage yards and a touchdown, along with a 50-yard return earlier in the game.
At the start of the quarter, Patrick Mahomes took in a one-yard scramble for a touchdown to extend the lead. That touchdown was set up by 33-yard run by Mahomes earlier in the drive where he broke multiple tackles and stayed inbounds.
Mahomes has 195 total yards, a rushing touchdown and two interceptions. The Chiefs have 186 rushing yards, led by running back Kareem Hunt, who has 78 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.
With JuJu Smith-Schuster out for the day, Mahomes has relied on tight end Noah Gray throughout the game. Gray has four catches for 66 yards. No other Chiefs receiver has more than 20 receiving yards.
Earlier in the quarter, 49ers quarterback threw his third interception of the game after San Francisco was able to drive into the red zone. Safety Jaden Hicks picked off Purdy in the end zone, joining cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace and safety Justin Reid as the Chiefs players with interceptions.
Reid has been the real standout for Kansas City's defense throughout the game. He has eight total tackles, an interception and a pass defensed.
The 49ers are without their top three starting wide receivers for the remainder of the game. Tight end George Kittle has been Purdy's favorite weapon, as he has 80 receiving yards on four catches.
