The Kansas City Chiefs will be taking on the San Francisco 49ers in a Super Bowl rematch on Sunday.

Although the teams play in separate conferences, they have unique perspectives on each other as they've faced off in two of the last five Super Bowls.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (85) and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (11) react after a touchdown by Kittle.

One Chiefs defender, Nick Bolton, faced the 49ers in their most recent matchup. Heading into their game this week, Bolton spoke about San Francisco tight end George Kittle, who he will likely have to cover at certain points on Sunday.

“He’s a huge matchup problem,” said Bolton. “He’s bigger than most safeties and faster than most linebackers. We have to mix our matchups up on him. "Put some hands on him when we can, disrupt his timing, and hopefully can frustrate him a little bit as the game progresses, but I think it’s going to be different matchups, different guys get on him a little bit, try to rough him up when we can, and then ultimately just make them make tight throws and live to play another down.”

Kittle has faced the Chiefs four times in his career, including the playoffs. In those games, Kittle has totaled 17 catches for 217 yards and a touchdown. In their Super Bowl matchup last season, Kittle had just two catches for four yards.

Kittle has been a scoring machine this season, as he has gotten into the end zone in each of San Francisco's last four games. He has five total touchdowns this season.
