Cincinnati Bengals Could Pursue Myles Garrett Trade After Request

Despite a strong finish with a four-game winning streak, the Bengals couldn't secure a wild-card spot. The team's performance highlighted the need for significant improvements, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

In response to their shortcomings, the Bengals have been proactive in making moves to bolster their roster.

They hired Al Golden as their new defensive coordinator, bringing in a fresh perspective after parting ways with their previous coordinator.

Additionally, the Bengals have signed several players to reserve/futures contracts, including wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley.

The team is also focused on retaining key offensive players like Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, who are both in the market for contract extensions.

One potential move that has been gaining attention is the pursuit of Cleveland Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett.

The Browns star issued a trade request, expressing his desire to play for a team with a stronger chance of contending for a Super Bowl.

The Bengals, with their need for a dominant pass rusher, could be an ideal destination. Garrett's addition to the Bengals' roster would provide a significant boost to their defense.

His impressive track record, including multiple Pro Bowl selections and a reputation as one of the league's top edge rushers, would immediately elevate Cincinnati's defensive capabilities.

The Bengals' front office is reportedly exploring the possibility of acquiring Garrett, and it remains to be seen if they can negotiate a deal that satisfies both parties.

With the potential addition of Myles Garrett, the team could see a significant improvement on defense and take a step closer to becoming serious contenders in the AFC.

The offseason will be crucial for the Bengals as they aim to build a competitive team for the upcoming season.
