Coco Gauff Imitates Serena Williams And Roger Federer To Create An Iconic Look

Coco Gauff is redefining tennis fashion with a groundbreaking collaboration between New Balance and Miu Miu, blending high fashion with athletic performance. The capsule collection, set to debut during the Italian Open in May, features performance wear, outerwear, and accessories. Gauff's input was pivotal in creating designs that are both functional and fashion-forward. She drew inspiration from previous high-fashion collaborations in tennis from iconic names such as Roger Federer and Serena Williams, aiming to bring a fresh perspective to the court.

“It’s three tournament looks in total,” said Coco Gauff. “I showed them what silhouettes I like, and we worked around that as a starting point.”
“We were, like, what can we do in tennis that has either never been done or been done very few times? The only time I can think of high fashion on the court was when Off-White partnered with Serena [Williams.] I know Fed[erer] had the Jordan shoe, but not a full outfit,” she added. “Jannik Sinner has been carrying Gucci when he walks on court, but it’s not a collab.”

The American WTA sensation is fast moving through her career, and is also showing her managerial prowess, when it comes to earning money off the court as well. Her calm and poised interactions with the press and the fans, also showcase her maturity as a young tennis player. Her fashion sense and involvement in every tiny detail of her endorsements, amplifies her resume and speak of a player who has finally found herself on the tour and off it as well.

Coco Gauff will feature next at the Mutua Madrid Open as she takes on Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska in her first match. With French Open looming closer, the competition intensifies in WTA, and it remains to be seen if Coco gets a hand on one of the trophies before Roland Garros
