The Paul brothers, Jake Paul and Logan Paul, are gearing up for arguably the biggest fights of their careers. The Problem Child will be fighting legendary boxer Mike Tyson on July 20. Meanwhile, The Maverick is set to face Cody Rhodes for the WWE title at King and Queen of the Ring. As such, the latter took a jab at his opponent on last night’s SmackDown and predicted the winner of the respective bouts.
After a frustrating contract signing, Rhodes sent a bold message to Paul. Earlier in the segment, the United States Champion mentioned his brother’s fight against Tyson. Therefore, The American Nightmare claimed that the WWE Hall of Famer would knock out Jake Paul. In addition to that, he asserted that a future HOF’er, referring to himself, would also defeat the YouTuber in Saudi Arabia.
For those unaware, Mike Tyson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class in 2012. Despite being way past his prime, The Baddest Man on the Planet agreed to compete against Jake. Their exhibition fight will take place on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
As for Jake’s brother, Logan Paul, he’ll be receiving his second opportunity at a world title in WWE. The 29-year-old challenged Cody Rhodes in a title vs. title match at King and Queen of the Ring. For a week, the match’s stipulation was seemingly confirmed on social media. However, the Social Media Megastar had other plans for the bout.
Logan Paul outsmarted Cody Rhodes during contract signing on SmackDown
As mentioned, Logan Paul and Cody Rhodes signed the contract for their upcoming battle on last night’s SmackDown. Before he could put pen to paper, The Maverick revealed that he had his lawyer draft another contract. The draft involved a change from the previous title vs. title stipulation to the match being only for Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Champion.
As a result, an irate Nick Aldis lashed out at Paul for violating their original agreement. The Grandson of a Plumber soon followed, launching a verbal attack on the US Champion. Despite that, he accepted the new stipulation and signed the contract to make the match official.
Unsurprisingly, the contract signing ended in chaos. The American Nightmare launched one of Paul’s lackeys through the table. Afterwards, he raised both the Undisputed and US titles to close the segment.
