Commanders Dan Quinn Gushes Over Remarkable QB Jayden Daniels

The Washington Commanders nailed their selection of second-round pick in Jayden Daniels last year.

The Washington Commanders went from a four-win team in the NFL doldrums in 2023 to a 12-win juggernaut who made it to the NFC Championship game a year later.

And Jayden Daniels was a big reason why.

The second overall pick in the 2023 draft, Daniels took everything before him, with a coolness under pressure that helped catapult his team into winning positions. When they needed him to put on the Superman cape, he did and willed his team to a win.

Now entering his second season off the back of an all-in offseason that saw Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil be signed in free agency, head coach Dan Quinn is again ready to rock with No. 5.

"Jayden's remarkable, he had a fantastic year," Quinn said on the Rich Eisen Show. "All the unseen work that goes into everything that he puts in, it's remarkable the way he can grind and get ready. I know speaking for the rest of the team, like we appreciate that, we appreciate how hard he gets ready and has been a fantastic teammate. We are very fortunate with number five taking the snap."

The consensus is that the Commanders will be among the teams involved in the Super Bowl conversation, with Daniels spearheading the charge.

But as we know, the football gods often like to throw curveballs, and Daniels will be trying to avoid the "sophomore slump" that often hits players right between the eyes.

However, the LSU standout is a different beast.

Having a laser focus to get better and bring his teammates along for the ride, it is no wonder many have the Commanders as one of the NFC heavyweights, and a team that has all the tools to make and win the Super Bowl.

With the "remarkable" Daniels leading the way.
